The Brazil Day DC Festival is an annual event produced in partnership by the Amazonia Harvest Foundation and the Brazilian Consulate of Washington, DC. It is an event organized by a panel of passionate volunteers from Brazil, living in the US, who have a vested interest in building up the Brazilian community in the Greater-Washington area.
This annual event had its humble beginnings in Frederick, MD in 2007. In 2011 it was adopted by the Brazilian Consulate as an official event of the Brazilian community of Greater-Washington. The event has taken on a new brand as the 1st Annual Brazil Day DC Festival, now held in the heart of our nation's Capital (US). With this new brand the festival has taken on a new mission.
Our Mission: To provide the Brazilian community of the Greater-Washington area an annual opportunity to come together to celebrate our culture, strengthen our friendships and to help our entrepreneurs grow their networks and prosper.
